Myofascial

The Myofascial Energetic Massage Certificates of Excellence offered at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts  was designed by Pam Fields to teach students that there is a way to read the tissues and know the appropriate pressure, direction and technique to use for the greatest effect.  Pam calls this approach 'Tissue Talk'. When mastered, the results of this therapy produces a master's touch.

Different mobilization techniques are required for each layer of skin: subcutaneous tissue, fascia, myofascial, tendons, joints and bone. The therapist's touch can range from light, energetic or deep pressure. The therapist uses movement and stretching which causes the client to experience a deep massage. This approach is easier for both client and the therapist because it works with the natural release patterns of each layer instead using force to relax the muscles. Come and learn to be an
