Myofascial Energetic Massage

"The greatest of all pleasures is the pleasure of learning." -Aristotle

The Myofascial Energetic Massage Certificate of Excellence offered at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts was designed by Pam Fields, experienced nurse and massage therapist, to teach students to read the tissues and know the appropriate pressure, direction and technique, to use for the greatest effect. This innovative and effective method of healing massage has been named 'Tissue Talk,’ by Pam and is essentially just that. When mastered, the results of this therapy produce a master's touch.

What is Myofascial Energetic Massage?

Different mobilization techniques are required for each layer of skin: subcutaneous tissue, fascia, myofascial, tendons, joints and bone. The massage therapist’s touch can range from light, energetic or deep pressure. The massage therapist uses movement and stretching, causing the client to experience a deep massage. This approach is easier for both client and the therapist because it works with the natural release patterns of each layer instead using force to relax the muscles.

The outlook for holistic health care continues to improve as more and more people are turning to natural healing methods each day. With a career in massage, the opportunity to start your own business or join an established relaxation or medical spa, are within reach. The more specialized techniques you master, the more desirable you will become. This is just one of the many unique training classes SWIHA has to offer. Come and learn to be an exceptional 'master' therapist.
